So, today at work

I had to scan every tie that was on the sales floor and take off the ones that were going to be marked down, not including the Armani ties. That took about 1.5 hours. After that I had to move all the ties to one of the employee lunch rooms and sort them by color, and length. That took about 2.5 hours, because there were 8 boxes! o_o But, I got all that done then I had to re-scan the ties, mark the prices down, and then put them into plastic totes to be moved back into the store room that’s all the way on the other side of the store. Before doing that I decided to go to lunch for an hour and ended up only taking 30 minutes. So, back to work I went. The re-scanning & boxing took about 3 hours because I had to scan each tie and mark each one down as I scanned. I finished that and had to re-fold shirts for the last 1.5 hours I was there.

Let me just say, I now know the prices of marked down ties like the back of my hand. And since when does a tie on sale = $150?! Nordstrom sales some expensive ass ties!

Yard Work

I’ve been working in the yard all morning with my mom. There’s still quite a bit left to do but I needed a break. I just finished watering the grass in the front. I’m tired, but I love being outside in the sun. It’s really nice to be in the yard with my mom. For the past 14 years we’ve worked in the yard almost every weekend in the summer. I love my mom, and I really thank my dad for not being around. He allowed my mom to teach me at a young age just how strong women are!
